Son of Mail charges for the products and services that it provides. We are not a Silicon Valley startup funded with VC money waiting to be the next big thing. We are into building a sustainable product that's future proof. Our Customers are people that use our products and services and pay for them. We have no hidden goals in selling private data or analyzing your behavior so that ads can be put on a platform for a higher price. There is no ads on our platform because it is funded by you. You are not the product.
We use the latest available versions of the well known and widely supported Transport Layer Security protocol ("TLS") which is an improved version of the Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") communications protocol that was used previously. Our certificates are issued with the highest possible cryptographic strength and renewed frequently to provide the maximum security possible.
Do you like Apple Mail? Or perhaps you've been using Outlook Express for ages! How about that cool new flashy mail app fresh off the oven? It doesn't matter what you prefer to use, it just works! Son of Mail provides all of the well known protocols that have been around for decades so you can continue using the same tool you're used to. Any software on any device on any OS.
Sure thing, your office laptop has been configured to work with Son of Mail. Also your personal laptop. And your phone. Maybe even your grandma's tablet. But what if you're on a camping trip out in the wilderness and you need to send an email? Not a problem, all you need is an internet connection to be able to login into our web based email system. It just works, all your sent and received email will be there and it's beautiful too! Yes, mail folders will be there as well.
You just finished an important meeting. After weeks of tough preparation, you've nailed it! And you are proud of yourself. You just need to send your presentation to all atendees. Of course, it is of extreme high quality and contains lots of illustrations. It's a bit heavy... about 37MB. You send it but suddenly you're not sure people will receive it. Don't you ever get that feeling? With Son of Mail you can forget about this - we guarantee the possibility of being able to send huge attachments. After all, we're no longer in the 90s...
We employ a technique called "gray listing" which is just fantastic. Aside from the usual email inspection for suspicious content and viruses, the first time you get an email from someone, it will be softly rejected. This happens the very first time only. All legit mail servers retry delivering the email and that's how we know this is a legit sender. We accept the redelivery and mark the sender as "approved" from that time on. Spammers cannot afford to do this and simply are unable to retry rejected emails.
So you receive an email. It's quite important. Two days after you're cleaning up your inbox and... you accidentally delete it. What do you do? Typically there's nothing much you can do about it other than asking the sender or someone that was on copy to send it again. If you're a lucky Son of Mail Customer you can just restore it back to life. As simple as that.
At Son of Mail we don't employ junior staff to take care of You. Customers are literally our way of life. Our support is provided by a small group of highly qualified individuals who can typically provide advice on top of fixing the issue at hand. It is often the founder himself who deals with some of the more complicated support tickets.
Tired of managing 7 different accounts (i.e. info, support, hello, hi, contact, etc...)? Son of Mail provides unlimited aliases so you can have all these common/catchy names arrive to just one account. Of course you can also have automated responses when you're off on holiday (or really, whenever you need).
Do you need to be dead sure not to loose any emails sent to your custom domain? This is not a problem with catchall mailboxes which allow anything@you.com to be received. So even if the sender has fat fingers, you'll still get the information without a bounce email which might confuse the sender and risk loosing business, the contact or both.
